29 October 2025 – The REEPLAI project celebrates one of its main milestones with the inauguration of two new Reading Parks in Lviv (Ukraine) and Óbidos (Portugal) — open, inclusive spaces designed to promote reading, play, and community engagement.
In Lviv, the Reading Park was inaugurated on 6 July 2025 next to Library Branch No. 43. Despite significant challenges — from site relocation to limited resources — the project was successfully completed thanks to the commitment of the partners Ukrainian Association of Cultural Workers, Lviv City of Literature, and Lviv Public Library. The park stands as a powerful symbol of resilience, cross-border cooperation, and the transformative power of culture.
In Óbidos, the Reading Park opened on 30 September 2025, welcoming the first young readers from the Complexo dos Arcos. The park features playful installations, Little Free Libraries, and interactive activities that blend reading with discovery, imagination, and collective experience.
These new spaces are more than parks — they are living examples of how reading can connect people, foster creativity, and strengthen communities across Europe.
