30 October 2025 – As part of the REEPLAI project, the newly inaugurated Lviv Reading Park, located next to Library Branch No. 43, has become a joyful gathering place for young readers and dreamers. Despite the challenges faced — from site relocation to limited resources — the project came to life thanks to the dedication of the Ukranian partners: UAC Lviv, Lviv City of Literature and Lviv Library.

In this new video of the “I Read Because” campaign, children from Lviv share their love for reading in the most genuine way: saying their name and age, why they read, their favourite book, and which story world they would love to live in. Their voices capture the wonder, creativity, and hope that books can inspire — even in times of uncertainty.

The campaign, developed by REEPLAI partners, highlights how reading nurtures resilience, imagination, and community. By featuring young readers from different parts of Europe, it celebrates the transformative power of stories to bridge cultures and generations.

To honour Europe’s linguistic richness, each participant speaks in their native language, with English subtitles provided for international sharing.
